Steam free game available for 24 more hours before it's gone forever

Building, battles, and bullets

You’ve only got 24 hours left to grab this Steam freebie and add it to your library, for some chaotic fun with friends.

Block N Load is a frenetic shooter that combines fast-action battles with base-building, and it looks like a silly amount of fun.

Completely free-to-play currently, this shooter has been around on Steam for 10 years, and has since impressed a great many players, with over 15,000 of them leaving reviews.

It’s currently rated as Very Positive, and we can see why.

As a 5V5 shooter, you’d think Block N Load would lack originality, but it can easily rival other shooters on the market by pushing players into building bases and cover with blocks, creating matches that never feels the same.

Think Minecraft, but with crazy heroes to play as, and a wacky assortment of weapons to choose from, and you’re kind of on the right track.

Ever-evolving maps keep players on their toes, and since this game has been around for so long, there are thousands of maps, ruelsets, and game modes to try out.

Singlet player time attacks are included for those not wanting to jump into online play right away, and they’ll test your parkour skills, as well as your tactical thinking.

Then, once you’ve got some friends together, or feel ready to tackle online play, there will be a careful balance of strategy meets combat, as you build your base during the building phase, before unleashing an assault.

One review said, “You didn’t make a lot of noise… but damn, you were good,” creating the picture that this is an underrated gem.

Sadly, the game is shutting down, but community servers may very well keep it alive while the developers move on to something new.

There’s still time for one more round before it all goes dormant.
