Steam free download is an impressive open-world action RPG

Move aside Elder Scrolls

Steam users have an incredible demo to play right now, one that gives you free roam over an open-world atop a dragon.

It’s called Sagas Of Lumin and you can give it a go for yourself right now for free, and it looks like it’ll be worth it as it does what fantasy games should do more often and lets you fly a dragon.

The official Steam description of the game reads: “Sagas of Lumin is a single-player action RPG featuring dragon flight that feels alive with full movement and combat control. Switch between aerial battles and ground combat using melee weapons, spells, and firearms. Your choices shape a deep, branching world."

It’s very Elder Scrolls-coded, and it’s a small taster for the full game coming later this year, but unfortunately no release date has been named yet.

Seriously, how come fantasy games don’t let you fly a dragon more often? If Doom: The Dark Ages can do it, so can others surely.

I remember unlocking the ability to ride a dragon in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and being incredibly disappointed with how it actually controlled, it could have been so much better.

Sagas Of Lumin doesn’t seem to have that problem though, as from the gameplay footage alone, flying looks fluid and the open-world you’re soaring over looks very pretty, albeit a tad empty.

It looks like an excellent starting point though, so hopefully the game does well and it'd be great to see its ideas expanded on further.

As mentioned before, there’s no release date for the full game, but its Steam page says it’ll come out sometime this year, hopefully anyway.

In the meantime, be sure to give the free demo a go and see what you think, then you can wishlist the game for updates on its launch.
