Steam drops free download for stunning new game you shouldn't miss

If you are on the lookout for a brand-new game to get stuck into this weekend then Steam has you covered with the chance to try out this upcoming co-op FPS title for absolutely free.

Developed by DoubleMoose Games, Abyssus is an amalgamation of different genres including a FPS/co-op shooter/roguelite/brinepunk but more specifically, it is a fast-paced adventure which will leave you on the edge of your seat.

Once you have formed your own fireteam, you will be in charge of blasting through the corrupted denizens of an ancient, sunken civilisation, and wield godly powers in the meantime.

“In a world powered by brine, a rare and powerful substance only found in the deepest fathoms of the sea, your team of daring brinepunk explorers is recruited to claim a massive deposit located beneath the ruins of an ancient civilisation,” the official Steam synopsis reads.

“However, your mission becomes a frantic battle for survival when the sunken kingdom’s corrupted inhabitants rise against you.”

You also shouldn't miss Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, although you won't nab this for free.

Set across hand-crafted levels, players will need to put their tactical skills to the test as they wield brine-powered weapons and refit them with ancient technologies in order to get the edge over their enemies.

In Abyssus, you will take part in four-player co-op as you work together to fight “through a merciless roguelite gauntlet where no run is the same as the last”.

Luckily, you will have the chance to choose synergic loadouts, skills, suits and weapon mods in order to survive the hordes. More specifically, you will have access to eight weapons and 45 weapon mods.

With 64 hand-crafted levels, 36 different enemies and four bosses, advancements, rewards, and unlocks to achieve, and a whole lot more content to arrive after the game fully launches, Abyssus is not one to miss out on.
