If you are in the mood for a brief but fast-paced game to get your teeth stuck into this weekend, then this free Steam download is guaranteed to keep you busy.
First launched in 2020 and developed by Sunnyside Games, Towaga: Among Shadows is a hand-drawn, action-adventure title which will see you wield the power of the light in order to take down enemies.
In this “short and intense” 2D shoot-‘em-up game, players will get to experience arcade-orientated gameplay, intense challenges, items, relics and spells to unlock and even a scoreboard to challenge themselves and others.
With various game modes to try, there are still hours of fun to be had for returners despite Towaga: Among Shadows having a mere 3-hour runtime.

Since its launch, Towaga has found itself sporting a ‘very positive’ rating on Steam with players praising the “one of a kind” indie game.
One positive review reads: “This game deserves more than the current six reviews and needs better promotion. Highly underrated.

However, there is an even bigger reason to download Towaga: Among Shadows.
Due to the developers losing publishing rights, the game is set to be delisted from Steam for good.
