If you fancy checking out one of 2025’s most promising Steam games for free, then you’re in the right place.

Whether it’s PC, PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo, when a video game trailer promises the world, we should approach it with caution. A trailer exists to manipulate us into making a purchase and I’m sure we can all recall back to at least one moment when we were hyped for a game only to be let down at launch.

Check out the Blue Prince trailer below!

This common occurrence of being let down is why free playable demos are always important. However, that won't completely eradicate the chances of buying a poor game, but it will at least reduce those chances.

One such free playable demo is for the upcoming mysterious indie game, developed by Dogubomb, Blue Prince arriving on Steam later this year.

“Welcome to Mt. Holly, where every dawn unveils a new mystery. Navigate through shifting corridors and ever-changing chambers in this genre-defying strategy puzzle adventure,” reads the description of the game. “But will your unpredictable path lead you to the rumoured Room 46?”

Presented with gorgeous cell-shaded visuals, we shouldn't be fooled by the Blue Prince trailer because it looks like it’s going to torment our brains with its challenging puzzles and atmospheric tension keeping us busy throughout the year.

Blue Prince is already shaping up to be one of the surprises this year with comments from the likes of PC Gamer claiming “I'm confidently calling it my GOTY even though we're not even in September yet. If it doesn't come out in 2024? I don't care: I'm still calling it my GOTY.”

No release date has been announced for Blue Prince at the time of writing but be sure to wishlist it on Steam to be notified of its launch. Hopefully, if Blue Prince proves to be a success, it will also make its way onto consoles.
