Steam users can claim eight games today that we can’t believe are free.

Steam is packed full of free games to play today, whether it's a AAA battle royale, an upcoming potential indie darling or some random game that we never expected much from, but ended up being a blast.

With that in mind, we’ve picked out just eight free games on Steam that you can download on your PC today. Hopefully, you’ll discover that unexpected gem.

  • Come out, cat: “Is a short and simple adventure game where you call out to a cat who's hiding away, hoping to coax them back into the world.”
  • Watertight: “A short first-person horror game. An accident cripples your submarine while trying to find the wreck of the Titanic. In the darkness, you must restore life-support systems through tense puzzles, only to discover that you are not alone.”
  • Night Patrol Rules: “Virtual group - PLAVE doujin game, with winter campus kaidan as the theme. Players will explore the seven incredible night patrol rules on campus from the perspectives of five members, uncovering the terrifying truth behind mysterious and bizarre stories through investigation and selection.”
  • Alien Brothers 2: “Is a top-down ARPG. Loot dark fantasy gear with random stats, runes, and upgrades. Skills auto-fire. Control everything with just a mouse or an Xbox controller. Rise from nothing, defeat the Demon King's legion, and save the galaxy!”
  • GodsArena Online: “Is a dream game created by our small independent team, inspired by classic MMORPGs. Four playable classes, a wide variety of pets, dungeons, maps, and of course — fierce rivals!”
  • Kaelaverse: Pemascape: “Kaela Kovalskia of Hololive ID has gone missing! Play as her army of assistants, the Pemaloe, and set off to explore caves, dungeons, and mazes and discover the truth about Kaela's whereabouts!”
  • FoE Remains: “Is a hardcore mix of platformer, 2D-shooter and roguelike with RPG elements. Travel around a post-apocalyptic world and explore its various corners, communicate with locals and help them, level up and fight enemies using a vast arsenal of weapons and magic.”
  • Redshift: “A first‑person psychological horror game where you close your eyes to reveal a hidden reality, uncover its secrets, and survive the presence that hunts within the Redshift.”

Have fun!
