Steam has three freebies for users to get their hands on, and pass the time this weekend, but you’ll need to be quick, as there’s only 48 hours left.
Every week, or sometimes it feels like every day, Steam has games popping up for free on the storefront.
These can be games that you’re able to add to your library and keep forever, or they’re available for a limited time to play as much as you can before the time runs out.

First up, you can play Starship Troopers: Extermination, which pulls the action from the blockbuster film franchise, and puts players behind the gun.
You’ll be defending the freedom of the galaxy from the horrible bugs that are intent on killing everything they see.
Expect blood, bullets, and bombastic action, played in frenetic 16-player battles.
Rivals of Aether II is one of the best ways to play a Smash Bros style game on PC, with bright and colourful visuals to emphasise the ludicrous action.
With a huge variety of elemental fighters from the first game, along with all new characters, you can brawl with your buddies, or go it alone.
Across several stages, the aim is to beat your opponents with a huge stock of abilities and special moves.
Lastly, Squad 44 is a tactical squad-based shooter set within the battlefields of World War II.
Using faithfully recreated weapons and vehicles, players can experience the chaos and brutality of war, either solo or with friends backing them up.
Based on real campaigns from the war, you’ll be walking in the shoes of those who turned the tide of war.
