Christmas may be the most wonderful time of the year, but it is also the most expensive and so getting to enjoy a good game this month without having to splash the cash would definitely be appreciated.

Well luckily, Steam has us covered once again thanks to its library welcoming three new exciting games on Boxing Day (26 December) which cost absolutely nothing to download and play.

Not only that but what better way to celebrate the festive period than with a bit of nostalgia which is definitely the case when you see the Tetris dupe Steam has launched. So without further ado, let us check out the three new free titles available for PC gamers now.

First up is Number Factory which, as you can probably guess, is for all the maths and numbers lovers out there.

Be in charge of building the ultimate number production empire as you automate generators, unlock powerful upgrades, and get prestige for the ultimate bonus.

As you compete across global leaderboards, you will be able to watch your numbers grow and by offering idle gameplay, this is one you are going to keep running at all times.

Next is Once Upon a Shell, a roguelike racing game based on The Tortoise and the Hare fable.

In this game of ridiculous speed and wild upgrades, players will compete as a tortoise who must use their shell to their advantage to slide down hills and gradually pick up speed.

By building movement combos, you will gradually be able to upgrade in order to beat each race and prove once and for all that you are worthy of lifting The Hare Cup.

TOANYAKO PROJECT

Now One For the Tetris Lovers

Last but certainly not least is Action PUZZLE, our infamous Tetris dupe.

In standard Tetris-style, you will need to clear each board by cleaning as many lines as possible whilst avoiding any unnecessary stacks.

With the goal to reach your high score, you will need to skillfully stack blocks as they fall and with blocks falling in response to your character’s movement, you will need skill and patience in order to beat your personal best.

So there you have it, three simple yet highly enjoyable games that you can play over the festive period and without having to spend a single penny.

All of these titles and thousands more are free to enjoy for PC gamers who use Steam so do not miss out on some underrated gems this December.
