Steam has just dropped 16 new games that you can download and play for free right now, with no strings attached.

Especially with everything in life becoming more expensive, trying to maintain positive mental health is as important as it ever was, and perhaps there’s no better way to be distracted from our worldly woes than being immersed in a video game.

However, when we can be immersed in a video game that won’t cost us a single penny, well, it doesnt get much better than a free game.

With that in mind, as brought to our attention by the Twitter account, ‘Free Steam Games’, here are 16 games on PC that you can download right now:

  • Incorporeal: “Is a dungeon crawler where you play as a treasure hunter who can sever their soul from their body. Dash through traps, strike foes with your spectral form, and protect your fragile body as you fight, puzzle, and survive the catacombs to claim ancient relics.”
  • Spread The Love: “A silly dating sim where your flavour decides your fate. Customise your profile, flirt with six lovably unique characters, and try to survive your first date!”
  • Idle Pixel Fantasy: “Recruit hard-working helpers and magical creatures that automatically collect gold and crystals. Unlock new levels, invest in stronger units, and work your way up to the powerful dragon boss at the top. A relaxing pixel-style idle clicker!”
  • LazerGrrl: “Is a fast-paced PVP strategy game. It combines the fury of Bomberman with the strategic depth of an RTS. Find the right balance between building your own base and blasting your opponent's.
  • Duelmasters: “Battle your friends in fast-paced 1v1 arena brawler style duels. Choose from axe, sword, or spear, each with its own strengths, and fight through intense rounds. Outplay your opponent, become champion of the arena, and earn the title of Duelmaster!”
  • Ball Space: “A single-player 3D puzzle platformer set in low Earth orbit. Roll, jump, and float around in space as a ball collecting records, coins, and new friends. Listen to the records you collect and uncover forgotten secrets. Gravity changes from area to area, so be prepared for some unusual challenges.”
  • Into the Evernight: “A retro-styled, tactical RPG with a heavy emphasis on player choice and branching story paths. Long ago, the sun went out and the world went dark. Now, the last remaining sources of light are starting to wane. How will you stop the spreading darkness? Or will you even be able to?”
  • 50 Minutes 'Til Impact: “Is set in a retro-futuristic world aboard an advanced, yet luxurious space train! It's a linear narrative adventure where players utilise 3D exploration, code solving, and visual novel interactions to do whatever they can to save everyone on board before time runs out.”
  • The Day of the Jellyfish: “A point-and-click comedy adventure game featuring original pixel-art and music, quirky puzzles, and fully voice-acted dialogue. Play as Hank and Duck, who only showed up in town to put on a rockin' concert, but ended up smack dab in the middle of a mutating cola-based pollution catastrophe.”
  • The Spike Cross: “Why don't you try it out?" Developed by an indie developer who loves volleyball! The sports game was made after numerous trials and errors to retain the appeal of volleyball!”
  • Duel Legends: “A revolutionary auto-battler card game where strategy meets dynamic combat. Step into a world where every card you play transforms your hero into an unstoppable force.”
  • SpikerMan Game: “Is an RPG with a large explorable world, colourful characters, and uses the LMBS (Linear Motion Battle System), a combat system that takes place in real time. Use a variety of attacks that can be equipped at once by using a combination of one button and holding down the movement buttons.”
  • Splat Splat: “Is an upgrade-based top-down shooter game! Battle across arenas, collect coins & become stronger! Splat your friend until they can't splat no more!
  • Spencer's Spaghetti Quest: “Run, jump and punch your way through a bright, hand-drawn world collecting upgrades and currency to become even stronger! Progress through different themed levels and defeat unique bosses to gather the legendary spaghetti ingredients!”
  • The Tale of Oath: “Uncover ancient magic in The Tale of Oath, a student-built action-adventure where you wield elemental spells, solve puzzles, and battle dark druids in a mystical, atmospheric world.”

Hopefully, at least one of the above will help keep you busy this weekend.
