If you’re a fan of Stardew Valley and The Legend of Zelda, as well as cosy games in general, then you need to check out this new Steam game.
After a long and hectic week, or a frantic weekend, there aren’t many hobbies that allow us to unwind and forget our worldly woes, even for an hour or two, like our beloved video games.
Whether it’s a globe-trotting adventure with Indiana Jones, punching enemies in the face in God of War, or battering Manchester City in EA Sports FC, video games are the best when it comes to pure escapism. Especially if we want to escape without leaving the house (you know we can all relate).
That sense of escapism can also be offered in two very different types of RPGs, namely, the two aforementioned offerings, Stardew Valley and The Legend of Zelda series, the latter of which, we’re talking about the classic retro entries of the NES and SNES era.
That being said, if you’re after a cosy RPG that blends both Stardew Valley and The Legend of Zelda, then Emberville, developed and published by the indie team at Cygnus Cross, might just be your cup of tea.

The gameplay trailer for Emberville not only gives us vibes of Stardew Valley with its gorgeous sprite visuals and the combat of classic The Legend of Zelda, but it also has a gothic charm that's somewhat reminiscent of Bloodborne.
“Awaken with no memories inside the Vitromotus, a vast underground world created as a magical dungeon where death no longer lasts," reads the synopsis of the game on Steam. “Explore its depths, battle dangerous creatures, rescue survivors, and rebuild the ruined town of Emberville while uncovering the truth behind this prison.”
“Summer 2026 is going to be amazing. Keep up the amazing work, Cygnus Cross,” said Ridley in the comments section on YouTube.
“My wife is a hardcore Stardew Valley fan. I immediately sent this to her,” revealed StevenBarnes-p8w.
“Hell yeah, on the wishlist already,” declared andrewbirch1348.
“The voiceover work is incredible. Looks really cool!” replied Jmdeleeuw.
Emberville does not have a confirmed release date at the time of writing, other than a tentative 2026 launch window. The best way to keep updated is to follow the game on social media and wishlist Emberville on Steam.
