The weekend may be over once again, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t spend the cold evenings diving into a brand-new game.

Luckily, Steam has added a whopping eight free games to its PC storefront and with so many to choose from, there is no doubt that there is something for everyone.

If you still want more freebies, Once Human is free to download on Steam right now.

So if you are looking to play an underrated gem and without paying a penny, these following titles have you covered.

First up is Paw Pirates which, yes, is as cute as it sounds.

This multiplayer party game will see you team up with friends to tackle, dodge, and even blow each other up in order to take over a pirate ship.

Whether you pick Team Cat or Team Dog, this free party game with a multitude of levels to take on is guaranteed to offer hours of fun.

Another game offering PvP content is Farm Wars.

This PvP strategy game will task you with outwitting your rivals in order to dominate the farming battlefield.

Plant crops, defend your fields and even transform into animals at night to sabotage your rival’s farms. Think Stardew Valley with a whole lot more chaos.

There is also Templar, a 2D indie platformer with hack-and-slash combat.

With a high difficulty and a thrilling soundtrack, this one is for fans of the 2D classics.

Those looking for an action RPG can check out Cedric & Odious which will see you battle through a dark fantasy world as a resurrected king.

Now serving a brilliant but corrupt sorcerer, you will have to master tactical combat and magical artifacts in order to conquer this challenging RPG.

Those who enjoy the hero shooter genre can grab The Machines Arena, a team-based shooter where players take on 4v4 combat in a top-down perspective.

How about another shooter but one where gravity is no limit?

Popo & Rob has just that as the arena shooter “combines dynamic, casual-friendly shooting with a unique twist on movement”.

Sandbox simulation fans should keep an eye on Strange New Tides where you will get to head to Saltbay Cove and make it your own.

Whether you build relationships or focus on fishing, gambling and collecting geodes, the choice is up to you.

Last but certainly not least is A Cat’s Way Home.

Cat lovers should not miss out on this relaxing simulation game where you will get to explore China and become friends with as many virtual felines as you can.
