Steam gamers, you've 48 hours left to grab 3 free downloads

Time is running out

There’s nothing quite as fun as customising your Steam profile, right? … Right guys?!

Okay, so maybe it’s not a life-changing activity, but it is nice to switch up your profile so that it reflects your personality or tastes.

And it’s with that in mind that I want to warn you that you have just 48 hours left to nab three free items from the Steam Points Shop.

They may be on the Points Shop, but as I said, these items are totally free.

The animated avatar, avatar frame, and animated sticker have been released to celebrate Steam’s ongoing Automation Fest which runs until 21 July.

As you might’ve guessed then, these items are all construction themed.

The ‘Pick and Place’ animated avatar features a happy looking machine picking up and placing down boxes, so is aptly named.

The ‘Conveyer Carry’ avatar frame is an animated conveyor belt to go around your avatar icon.

Finally, the ‘Parcel Pass’ animated sticker sees a box transferred from one metal contraption to another.

With just two days to go, do make sure you redeem any of these three items that may be of interest to you.

I also recommend you make the most out of Automation Fest beyond this.

These types of Steam events bring about great offers and new demos, so even if you don’t think games of this genre are for you, perhaps one of the new demos will sway you.

Factoria’s demo, for example, remains ever-popular.

In this 2020 release, you’ll build and expand an enormous automated factory within an infinite 2D world.

It’s Overwhelmingly Positive reviews tell you all you need to know.

The demo for Plan B: Terraform has a calming quality to it; here, you’ll turn a lifeless planet into a lush habitable world all whilst listening to a peaceful, relaxing soundtrack.

Sandustry has caught my eye.

This one landed earlier this year and slightly differs from those games I’ve already mentioned.

Instead of building a run-of-the-mill factory, here, you’ll want to explore vast underground tunnels where “every pixel is a valuable resource”.

There are hundreds of demos to try so have a browse and grab those profile freebies.
