Steam quietly releases 4 games you can download and keep free

On the lookout for something new to play?

It’s that time again, where I fill you in on the latest free-to-play titles to land on Steam.

Certainly, I’m imagining that plenty of you will be busy chipping away at your backlog but so too is it important to highlight any available freebies.

Gaming should be as accessible as possible, regardless of your budget.

Once again, thank you to SteamGamesPC for bringing these to our attention.

I’ll begin with Life is Feudal: Arden, an open-world MMORPG from developer LTG.

Set in the Middle Ages, this is a successor to Life is Feudal, another MMO.

“Engage in thrilling PvP combat, navigate political intrigue, master a variety of professions and craft unique items. Forge your own path to power and greatness,” the synopsis teases.

I will say that, at the time of writing, this one has a Mixed review score of 41%.

Players note that it’s less of a successor and more of a ‘copy and paste into a new server’ situation, so keep that in mind.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is now available for PlayStation Plus essential tier users to grab.

If you prefer precision platformers, SongBird: FlingAThing may be the game for you.

This one’s developed by Sock Puppet Gost, and the title says all you really need to know.

You play as a small bird who must fling themselves to the finish line. The wider premise is that you're in a malfunctioning cash register that won’t scan milk which feels a tad random, but okay.

Next up is Fishing Clicker, a casual point and click game from Comar Studios.

“It is not easy to catch the best fish the first time,” the description states.

“Being a good fisherman requires patience. Start with a small rod and worm. Fish and mysteries will earn you more money. Earn the chance to catch more mysterious and valuable fish with special fishing rods. You should choose your baits well.”

It looks to be a pretty simple game in terms of its gameplay, but sometimes that’s all that’s needed if you just want to switch your brain off for a little while.

Finally, I’ll end with Rotosaurus Adventure, a puzzle game from PressGtoGeorge.

I have to say, this one looks very fun. Essentially, you’ll have to twist a small box shaped puzzle, overcoming enemies, avoiding spikes, and solving “mind twisting challenges” in order to succeed.

In fact, you know what, I’m going to treat myself to a little free download of this one.

All of the above titles are available to enjoy now.
