September is set to be a huge month when it comes to some epic video game releases but in the meantime, Steam is offering you the chance to pass the time and have fun thanks to four free games.

Added to the PC storefront and guaranteed to be missed, Steam has added four free games to download and keep right now.

So if you are on the lookout for a 3D platformer, first-person survival horror, an action-adventure RPG or a visual novel, this list is guaranteed to have something for you.

First up is Straif, a 3D platforming shooter where players from all over the world will compete to race through a variety of hand-crafted maps.

With targets to shoot and an arsenal of weapons to choose from, players will have to race to become top of the leaderboard in the fastest possible time.

However, if you are looking for something a bit scarier, then Stomach may be the game for you.

In this first-person survival horror with PS1 graphics, players will take part in a cooking game located on a cruise ship.

Your task is simple: accept the food order, search for ingredients, and make it back safely to the kitchen in order to cook your meal.

However, you will soon learn that cooking is a lot deadlier than you first thought.

In Time Gamers: 12000 Years in One Square Mile, you will begin the game after just being certified as a “Time Gamer”.

Now it is your job to travel back in time to the area of the longest running period of continuous human history in the United States” where you will be tasked with collecting the DNA of extinct animals and species in order to bring back important figures from the past.

Last but by no means least is The Bygone Days of Her and the Flowers, a fan-made visual novel featuring captivating mystery and suspense uncovered through investigation and deduction.

Featuring 7-8 hours of gameplay, players can expect beautiful character illustrations and a fully voice-acted story.

These are just some of thousands of free games available to try out on Steam right now.
