Steam offers up 12 free games in hefty giveaway

The weekend is fast approaching and you know what that means?

A lot of gaming and a lot of sleeping. Well, at least for me.

With a lot of AAA games releasing this year, our bank accounts are going to take a big hit so if you want to chill with something without having to spend a penny, then Steam has you covered once again.

With a total of 12 free games available to download now, this list is bound to have something that takes your fancy.

Project Hailstorm - a short story following a researcher sent to uncover the mysteries of a buried project within the Antarctic circle.

Anturi - an adventure RPG where you must embark on a journey to rescue your missing father across a series of islands.

Relic Hunt - a “clicker” game where each click will earn you coins and the chance to obtain rare collectibles.

End Transmission? - a story-rich management title set shortly before the end of the world. Enjoy the time you have left by taking part in the things that really matter.

Fit-Right-In - an arcade game where you will shapeshift your way through a series of wall cutouts in the best show in the world.

Arcane Rush - a card game where you will clash, strategise and battle in order to get your hands on an unbeatable deck.

Sacrifices - a “god-game-meets-city-builder” where you will rule over a mesoamerican village in the heart of a ruthless jungle.

PEXIT 8 - a hidden-object, escape room-esque game which takes place in an endlessly looping hallway. Oh, and there are some penguins after you.

Apocalypse Island - a zombie-based post-apocalyptic survival game where you will need to build, explore and most importantly, survive.

STAY ALIVE - a survival horror adventure where people are kidnapped and forced to take part in a series of deadly challenges in front of a live audience.

Cubey Quarry - one for the Minecraft fans. Build a quarry, either alone or with friends, and mine ores, smelt or grind and earn money in order to keep it running.

Last Spirit Origin - an action-roguelike/top-down shooter set on an alien-infested world. Battle relentless machine foes either solo or with up to four friends.
