Red Dead Redemption Meets Baldur's Gate in Dark New RPG

Yeehaw but make it isometric

Red Dead Redemption and Baldur’s Gate fans are going to love this upcoming Steam title.

If you’re a fan of dark survival games then Peregrino might be the game for you, when it's officially released that is.

As the title suggests it’s got similarities with Red Dead Redemption and Baldur’s Gate 3, but more so the latter as the gameplay is strikingly similar especially the inventory management.

You can learn more about the game through its official Steam store page.

Peregrino’s description states it’s a “dark isometric survival adventure where you explore a cursed forest by day and manage your caravan by night. Gather resources, hunt deadly creatures, upgrade your caravan, care for your companions, and lead them through the vast wilderness in search of New Eden.”

While not exactly an open-world game it looks like there’ll be a lot to see and do, and I’m already liking the idea of customising and managing your character’s caravan. There’s even a fishing minigame, which as we know is a tell-tale sign that the game is going to be good.

Visually the game looks quite striking as well, and while not all of the screenshots provided seem to do the game justice I’m definitely intrigued by its style.

While I’d love to say the game is playable right now it unfortunately isn’t. The release date hasn’t been confirmed by the time of writing so there’s no guarantee it’ll come out this year, but hopefully it’s sooner rather than later.

What we’re really waiting for more than anything though is a demo, which is common practice on Steam for upcoming games like this and I think one will definitely be needed for those unsure if you want to fully commit to what Peregrino’s selling.

If you like the look of the game though be sure to add it to your wishlist to keep track of where it is and when it’s coming out.
