Two of the biggest fantasy RPGs in recent years are Baldur’s Gate 3 from Larian Studios and Hogwarts Legacy from Avalanche Software, and if you’re looking for a game that is a concoction of both, then you’re in the right place my magical friend.
Developed and published by Atomic Wolf, the game in question is the highly anticipated indie title that is also clearly inspired by the Grand Theft Auto series from the old-school, top-down PlayStation era, the brilliantly named Yet Another Fantasy Title.

“Yet Another Fantasy Title (YAFT) is an open-world action-adventure game set in an absurd fantasy universe full of pop-culture references. The king is dead, the kingdom is in turmoil… For some, it’s a time of darkness. For others – a time of opportunity. Play as the Rogue who uses his sword and his wit to deal with anyone who crosses his path. Sometimes he also uses spells. It’s a fantasy game, after all,” reads the description on the Steam store.

Judging by its trailer, Yet Another Fantasy Title does look like it could be a lot of fun with plenty of slapstick humour. At the time of writing, it’s only listed as being released on PC. Hopefully, if it proves to be a success, it will one day be released on consoles too.
