An upcoming Steam FPS can be described as Bloodborne meets Red Dead Redemption 2. If that’s true, then it piques our interest.

Despite being wild in their own right, FromSoftware’s Bloodborne and Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption 2 are very different games, and that’s an understatement. However, none are less amazing, it has to be said.

Released in 2015 on the PlayStation 4, it might be fair to say that Bloodborne introduced a new legion of fans to famed developer FromSoftware. A griffy gothic world, brutal combat, challenging bosses and enticing lore, there’s a lot to love about Bloodborne.

As for Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar Games released this western classic in 2018 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, before coming to PC the following year. Red Dead Redemption 2 has a gripping story of a once tight and trusted family unit of outlaws, torn apart by corruption within.

The open world of Red Dead Redemption 2 is also one of the most immersive you’ll ever experience, not only with its fun gameplay but also gorgeous visuals and fun activities that could potentially keep you busy for years.

Now that I’ve prevented myself from being sidetracked any further, what is that upcoming game that I spoke about earlier, I hear you impatiently ask? The game in question is called Far Far West, developed by Evil Raptor.

“Form a crew of bounty-hunting robot cowboys to take on dangerous contracts from the Town Sheriff. Team up with friends in one to four-player co-op to track down dangerous targets, take them out, and bring home the bounty. It’s a dusty job, but someone’s gotta do it!” reads the synopsis of the game on Steam.

“This is the Wild West, but not as you know it. Alongside dusty saloons and endless deserts, you’ll encounter haunted mines, reanimated skeletons, and deadly storms at every turn. Complete daring contracts, explore cursed lands, and watch out for the giant ghost train.”

After watching the gameplay trailer, I can see some gothic influence, though I very much doubt it shares the difficulty of Bloodborne, plus it is a co-op multiplayer shooter. But if you like silly Western games, this might be your cup of tea.

Far Far West does not have a release date at the time of writing, but its Steam page states that it will be entering its early access phase soon. So, be sure to wishlist it to be notified of its launch.
