Stardew Valley: East Scarp is a massive, free map expansion

Stardew Valley players would be fools not to download this map expansion mod, which adds heaps of new content to the game.

Often described as one of the best games of all time, it’s no wonder Stardew Valley’s popularity hasn’t wavered over the years.

It helps that the game is basically endless, as you could spend years playing on the same save file if you can keep finding things to do, or start over from scratch and do everything completely differently.

While the content updates have slowed down since the game’s launch and eventual ports to Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo platforms, we occasionally get another update to enjoy. The next one is set to drop sometime this month, and the developer has been teasing the new additions online.

In the meantime though why not take matters into your own hands and grab yourself a free map expansion via the East Carp mod.

The mod is set at a picturesque location by the sea, and will add some new places for you to explore. You’ll meet and greet several new NPCs, some of which own their own stores to peruse and haggle in, and there are even some new fishing locations to visit if that’s how you like to spend your time. It’s not cut and dry though, there are some secrets to discover as well if you put some time into exploration.

This is a great mod for those who are in the late stages of their playthrough, and is integrated seamlessly into the base game. It might as well be an official expansion, as you can hardly notice the difference between the new content and what’s already there.

If nothing else it’ll help you pass the time before the Stardew Valley’s developer brings out a new update, so why not give it a try while it’s free?
