Ever wanted to experience Elden Ring in Skyrim? This adventure is for you.

Skyrim and Elden Ring are two beloved games, and for good reason. It's unsurprising then, that so many of us enjoy any opportunity to see the two collide. Thankfully, there are hard working modders out there making this a reality.

There are a lot of ambitious expansions for Skyrim, and likely will be for years to come, given its consistent popularity with returning players and newcomers alike. However, for those moments when you want a less intense experience, there are sprawling adventures like this free download.

Don't forget to watch Skyrim's 'Hunt for the Spectre' gameplay showcase

The Hunt for the Spectre is an "Elden Ring inspired quest" for Bethesda's legendary RPG. Fully voice acted, this adventure allows your character to cross paths with Ren, a man who's on the hunt for a serial killer. The closer you get to discovering the truth, the more shocking the revelations.

Not only will you uncover Ren's motivations for hunting this killer, but you'll also work towards unlocking "multiple endings" that are dependent on your actions. The modder also adds, "Furthermore, custom assets are used to really immerse the player in a brand new experience. The mod's writing takes heavy inspiration from Elden Ring and the Souls series as a whole and this whole mod is basically a tribute to D, from Elden Ring."

Seeing as how we're all looking forward to Shadow of the Erdtree, though perhaps not so much facing down a new version of the game's worst boss, this is a way to dip back into Elden Ring without losing your temper several times over.

For those wanting to join the hunt for this killer, head to NexusMods to learn more. "Great mod and terrific voice acting" await all who are brave enough to partner up with Ren and learn the secrets of what makes the cruel monster he hunts do the things they do.
