We can scarcely believe it

We often talk about our love for Red Dead Redemption 2, but without the first game, we wouldn’t have such a revered franchise.

As far as many gamers are concerned, few titles can match the depth that Rockstar Games’ Wild West adventures deliver.

This is why, 14 years later, we’re all still waiting for that PC port to finally appear.

It's been a long time coming, but maybe, just maybe, it's time for Red Dead Redemption on PC

Even though many fans still doubt it'll ever happen, a leak that references news they’ve longed to hear has them quietly optimistic.

What can we say? We’re gluttons for punishment.

Shared by Twitter account Wario64, a PC port of Red Dead Redemption has been teased in the strangest of ways.

It’s been mentioned via the PlayStation Store.

In the words of Twitter user ASUKA, "This honestly makes zero sense but if it means we get the original Red Dead Redemption on PC I'll take it.”

On Reddit, fans were just as confused but excited by the news.

“About time,” said Jedi_Pacman, “Would've loved to see a remaster of RDR1 in the RDR2 engine but I won't complain about this. Excited to play on PC fr.”

Some chose to express their joy with minimal words but plenty of gifs and memes.

“Alright partners, buckle up, we riding today,” posted BBKouhai along with a gif of John Marston.

Another reply is simply The Office US scene that says “Oh my god! Okay, it’s happening!”

If nothing comes of this leak, we’ve always got the hard work of the RDR1 fandom to rely on.

Even without an official remaster from Rockstar, there’s always a fan made remaster that’s already available.

Nonetheless, we pray that this leak is the real deal.

To finally be able to play as John via our PCs would be an especially beautiful gift for our continued loyalty during these long 14 years.
