Red Dead Redemption 2 is a great game there’s no doubt about it but I don’t think anyone anticipated it to be so dark.

Given that it’s a prequel to Red Dead Redemption and we already knew how most of the story would play out it was clear it wasn’t going to be big on happy endings, but the world itself is full of horrors many of which are deeply hidden.

If you haven’t played the first game yet there’s no better time to do so, as it was re-released earlier this year for modern platforms

We could talk about terrifying creatures of the night or who could very well be Death incarnate but the horrific detail we’re covering today is a bit more down to Earth, murder.

In a Reddit thread where fans were asked to share the most disturbing sights they’ve come across in Red Dead Redemption 2 one fan shared a development that many will have likely missed on their first, second, or umpteenth playthrough.

Apparently “If you go fishing behind the mayor's house after his assistant is killed you will snag a body part.”

The house is in St Dennis, which is already a cursed place considering there’s an actual vampire patrolling the streets at night, but it’s even more cursed that the mayor seemingly has their assistant chopped up and tossed into the water out back.

How on Earth someone found this is beyond me, but it’s just more of that renowned attention to detail Rockstar Games puts in its games. With GTA VI set to be even bigger in size and scale than Red Dead Redemption 2 it makes you wonder what that game’s open-world will be like and what secrets will be unearthed.

I’d recommend checking out the whole thread, as quite a few of them are secrets even I wasn’t aware of.
