All the cosy vibes

If you’re after a cosy survival RPG with Valheim and The Last of Us vibes, then you might want to check out this new game that’s coming to PlayStation 5.

When The Last of Us was first released on the PlayStation 3 in 2013, at that moment, it became one of Sony’s leading properties. Developed by Uncharted studio Naughty Dog, The Last of Us has since seen a sequel, a remake and remasters.

Oh, and let’s not forget The Last of Us live-action adaptation from HBO, which is now going into its third season and will centre around the character Abby Anderson, who we were first introduced to in The Last of Us Part II.

Speaking of a third entry, fans are also eagerly waiting for news on The Last of Us Part III, which, despite being teased by Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann, has not been officially announced.

I suppose Naughty Dog would need to get Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet out of the window first. Revealed at The Game Awards in 2024, Naughty Dog’s new IP does not have a release date, but we do know that it’s arriving on PlayStation 5.

Gamers Love The Last Of Us And Valheim

As for Valheim, inspired by Norse mythology and developed by Iron Gate Studio, this is one of the most popular survival MMORPGs of its genre in recent times.

At the time of writing, according to SteamDB, Valheim has had a concurrent player peak of over 24,000, which isn't bad for a game nearly five years old.

Since its initial launch in 2021 as an early access title on Steam, Valheim has seen success on both PC and Xbox. Next year, it will finally arrive on PlayStation 5.

That being said, what is that aforementioned game that blends Valheim and The Last of Us, I hear you ask?

The game in question is called I Am Future: Cozy Apocalypse Survival, developed by Mandragora and published by tinyBuild.

“I Am Future is a relaxing single-player survival game about building a cozy rooftop camp amid a flooded post-apocalyptic city,” reads the synopsis of the game.

“Set up a farm, go fishing, tinker with gadgets, craft new tools, manage a team of cute robots to automate and expand your base, explore the mysterious world, and chill out!”

I Am Future: Cozy Apocalypse Survival originally released on PC in 2024, but now it’s coming to PlayStation 5 on 8 January 2026.

What’s more, it’s also coming to Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
