PS5 gameplay leaves fans hyped for Horizon 3

The future is looking gorgeous

Fans are eagerly gobbling up all the footage they can from Hideo Kojima’s latest epic, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, which is stunning everyone with some of the best visuals of this generation.

It’s clear to see the monumental work that has gone into not only creating gorgeous motion capture renderings of actors, but also the lush detail in the landscapes throughout Death Stranding 2.

This has many eagerly looking forward to the next instalment in the Horizon Zero Dawn franchise, as Death Stranding 2 uses the Decima engine developed by Guerilla Games.

“Guerrilla Games and Kojima Productions have outdone themselves,” said one Redditor in a new thread celebrating the game.

PlayStation fans are quick to point out that all first-party game engines consistently impress, with one fan noting, “Naughty Dog’s in house engine and Decima are two of the best I’ve seen along with the RAGE engine.”

Over on Twitter, another fan jumps into the conversation, saying, “All of this is on the Decima Engine and on a base PS5. You can only imagine what Horizon 3 is gonna look like in a few years.”

And all this is being said after the launch of Horizon Forbidden West, which is one of the most beautiful games on the PlayStation 5 currently.

Knowing that a third game is surely on the way using this engine, you can only imagine how wonderful it will look and feel.

They aren’t the only fan excited by the possibilities of Horizon 3, with another commenting, “Since Horizon 3 is apparently still a ways off, I wonder if it'll be made a PS6 launch window title using an updated Decima engine and metahuman tech like in Death Stranding 2.”

I can see the third game for Aloy being the swan song for the PlayStation 5, coming out nearer the tail end of its life, and wowing everyone one last time.
