This secret PlayStation 5 hack lets you add a bit more personality to your console, and it’s one that many of us may have missed.
One of my favourite features of the PlayStation 3 (other than having great games) is its dynamic themes. Rather than static images, such as wallpaper, the PS3 had themes with awesome animations.
For example, my favourite theme on the PlayStation 3 was one for the multiplayer co-op spin-off, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. This dynamic theme featured an animated Raccoon City in ruins, with a menacing Licker on top of a burnt-out RPD car.
I Love PlayStation Dynamic Themes!
Sure, the PlayStation 4 had dynamic themes, and now, to an extent, so does the PlayStation 5, but on the PS3, they felt more unique, varied and full of character. Hopefully, Sony will bring that level of charm and detail to the PS5 one day.
However, one feature that the PlayStation 3 does not have is the ability to take screenshots, something that can be done on the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.

You can take instant screenshots of epic in-game moments, and you can take pictures of your PlayStation 5 dashboard (albeit far less exciting than in-game footage). But you can also take screenshots of a game’s profile on the PlayStation Store.

Here’s How to Make Your PS5 Dashboard More Unique
This may feel like an obvious thing to say, but despite knowing that I can take screenshots on the PlayStation 5, it never crossed my mind that we could do the same on the PlayStation Store. So, thanks, Reddit user Cubegod69er, for bringing this to our attention.
You can also take a screenshot of any trailers in a game's profile on the PlayStation Store. But not on YouTube, the share function is blocked on that app.
“If you take a screenshot of the pictures in game profiles, you can use them to make pretty dope PS5 backgrounds,” they announced on Reddit, with an image of Leon S. Kennedy wielding an axe from a Resident Evil Requiem trailer.
“My wallpaper is of the 'Big Moon' from Death Stranding 2 from ‘Above The Clouds’,” replied SpotlessMinded.
“This is such a seemingly simple idea, yet I never thought to do this. Great idea, OP, thanks!” said a_Jedi_i_am.
“RDR2 is a goldmine for wallpapers,” declared Cassman95.
“Yes, I did that with Cyberpunk 2077, " exclaimed RYzaMc.

Getting into the spirit of this thread, I took it upon myself to nab a screenshot of the artwork featured on the Resident Evil Requiem PS Store page.
However, once my day shift has finished, I think I’ll scan through the trailers to take loads more snazzy screenshots.
Speaking of Resident Evil Requiem, it releases this month on 27 February on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2.
