The monthly offering for PlayStation Plus has become a bit of a ritual for those playing on Sony's flagship console (or indeed the PlayStation 4) and it's been on a bit of a roll recently, dropping some absolute classics into players laps at no additional cost to the monthly subscription.

Though there has been no official word from Sony just yet, the selection for October has seemingly leaked online and there are some absolute classics to mark out the spookiest month of the year.

As confirmed by billbil-kun via Dealabs, players will get the chance to get their hands on Silent Hill 2, Until Dawn (2024), As Dusk Falls, V Rising and Tekken 3, depending what tier of the service you subscribe to.

Starting off with those of you on the marginally lesser Extra tier, the key date to look out for is 21 October, when all of the games above aside from Tekken 3, will be joining the games catalogue.

Silent Hill 2 is a PlayStation 5 console exclusive where players step back into the haunted shoes of James Sunderland in the genuinely excellent remake of the 2001 release of the same name.

Until Dawn likely won't need introducing to many of you, as Supermassive Games' interactive survival horror/drama mash-up was one of the more inventive and ingenious games of the 2010s. So much so that it was even adapted into a solid enough movie that released earlier this year.

Rounding out the Extra tier is As Dusk Falls and V Rising. The former was originally released for the Xbox and PC after developer Interior Night went with Xbox Games Studios as their chosen publisher. Since then, the adventure game made its way across to PlayStation consoles in 2024 and it's well worth playing if you're a fan of the genre.

V Rising is a vampire-heavy action RPG that arrived on PlayStation after hugely outperforming expectations on the PC.

Premium subscribers will also be able to get their hands on Tekken 3, one of the better fighting games around, even if it does break from the creepy horror theme the other games are going for.

It's also important to remember that everyone will also get access to Alan Wake 2 in October, regardless of what tier of PS Plus you subscribe to (including Essentials). That was arguably one of the best games of 2023, and it's a must play if you haven't managed to do so yet.

We'll bring you the full confirmed line-up later today.
