PlayStation Plus members can get two new free games right now

PlayStation Plus subscribers shouldn't miss these bonus free games

PlayStation Plus subscribers can currently get their hands on two very different but equally excellent free games right now.

PlayStation Plus Essential tier subscribers can currently grab the following: PGA Tour 2K23, Dreams, and Death’s Door. Not a bad trilogy of games at all. Meanwhile, Extra and Premium tier subscribers can grab a further 17 games in August, including Moving Out 2, Lost Judgement, and Destiny 2: The Witch Queen.

Take a look at Cyberpunk 2077's upcoming expansion below!

As of today, there are two free games that absolutely demand your attention - and both are available now for PlayStation Plus Extra subscribers.

The first is one I've recently spent a lot of time with, as I reviewed it - and adored it. I gave Sea Of Stars a 9/10 in our newly published review, calling it retro-flavoured perfection with a modern twist.

"Sea Of Stars may come across to some as little more than a tribute act to the classics, but I hold no truck with such sniffy dismissiveness," I wrote. "If it is a tribute act, it’s definitely more UK Pink Floyd Experience than your mate’s crappy pub band that plays Arctic Monkeys covers."

Sea Of Stars is available to download now on Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus Extra, and I truly can't recommend it enough. Unfortunately I can't speak to the quality of the second free game, but I have ever confidence it's just as good in very different ways.

The second game is Lawn Mowing Simulator: Landmark Edition, which obviously couldn't be more different than a classic RPG about saving the world from ancient evil. Still, if you've had your fill of fighting the forces of darkness and would rather kick back with something more meditative, clearly this game would be the better of the two choices. Isn't that variety what makes gaming such a fantastic medium?
