Uh oh. September’s extra and premium tier PlayStation Plus offerings have partially leaked online ahead of a full reveal this coming Wednesday.

We’re used to seeing essential tier leaks every month. It’s far more uncommon when it comes to extra and premium tier games but alas here we are. To recap, essential tier PlayStation Plus subscribers can currently grab Saints Row (2022), Black Desert - Traveler Edition, and Generation Zero which is a pretty lacklustre line-up - particularly when you consider that Sony also announced this month that PS Plus subscription prices would be rising by around a third. Subscribers have been threatening to cancel their subscriptions, arguing that the quality of games added doesn’t justify the price increase. I’m imagining Sony are hoping these latest additions change that notion - and reliable leaker billbil-kun is here to tease what we can expect.

Take a look at Saints Row (2022) in action below.

Dealabs’ billbil-kun is well-known for his accurate PS Plus leaks - and he’s just announced this month’s extra and premium tier headliners. PlayStation Plus subscribers should expect to see Sony announce that NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139, Star Ocean The Divine Force, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, Sid Meier’s Civilization VI, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2, and Unpacking are all joining the service this month.

I sense silence in the room. I really thought we might see a heavy hitter land this month like God of War Ragnarök, seeing as we’re nearing one month since the game’s release. Unpacking is a delightful indie, and I’m sure the addition of NieR Replicant will please some, but I fear this line-up won’t satisfy many subscribers who are already displeased with the state of PlayStation Plus.

Don’t forget, this isn’t the full line-up. We typically see roughly 15-20 games collectively added to the extra and premium tiers each month. That full line-up will land on Wednesday - and while I’d be surprised if billbil-kun was wrong, do as always take this leak with a pinch of salt.
