The PlayStation Plus service keeps evolving regardless of the tier you subscribe to, whether it be Essential, Extra or Premium with new games constantly being added to its ever-expanding library.

In 2022, Sony launched the PlayStation Stars feature on the PS mobile app. Essentially, PS Stars rewards you with digital collectables and even points that can be redeemed against other digital collectables, but more importantly, a you can choose from a selection of video games or wallet funds to spend on the PlayStation Store.

Some quests will involve playing certain video games, most often those games are included in the PlayStation Plus library, while others may require a purchase from the PS Store. In the case of today’s story, the game in question is Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, as brought to our attention by Reddit user Luis_FFgamer.

At the time of writing, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is featured in the ‘PS Plus Game Catalogue: Must-Play this Month’ campaign, alongside SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated, Sea of Stars, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot and Trials Rising. Playing any of those games will bag you 50 easy points.

All of the aforementioned games are in the PS Plus library, apart from the Final Fantasy spin-off, well, kind of. I’ve just checked on the app and Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin isn't in the PS Plus library, but I still have the option to download it to my PlayStation 5, something that isn't possible with other games not included in PS Plus or those I am yet to purchase.

Sony hasn't announced Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is coming to PlayStation Plus yet, but judging by the evidence, it will be announced soon. Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
