PlayStation Plus new freebie is 'stupidly fun', fans agree

I'd buy that for a dollar! (But thankfully you won't have to, as it's free)

PlayStation Plus subscribers are already thoroughly enjoying their latest freebie for this month, and they’re already keen to jump into its upcoming expansion later this year.

In case you haven’t moseyed on over to your monthly PlayStation Plus Essential games yet, I’d highly suggest grabbing at least one of the games that’s currently available.

RoboCop: Rogue City is a 2023 first-person shooter developed by Teyon, and it’s included as part of the PlayStation Plus monthly offerings on PlayStation 5.

If you’ve yet to try it out, I massively recommend it. I had a lot of fun with it when I played it on release, and it seems like all of the folks over on the r/PS5 subreddit are having just as good a time as I did.

“I'm really enjoying the game,” commented user kaic_87.

“It perfectly captures the essence of RoboCop kinda in the same way Alien: Isolation does with its source material.”

“I love this game and I hope more comes for the story,” replied user confusedsquirrel.

“I get the same feeling I got when I played Arkham Island the first time.”

Well, I have some great news for you, confusedsquirrel, because the team behind RoboCop: Rogue City has already revealed that a DLC story mission is on its way.

The RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business DLC is set to drop sometime this year in the summer, and it already has a trailer.

Assumedly, this is one of the main reasons why publisher Nacon put the game on PlayStation Plus in the first place, as it means the folks who played RoboCop: Rogue City through their subscription and loved it will suddenly be more likely to buy the DLC when it comes out.

Honestly, good for them. RoboCop: Rogue City may not be a perfect game, but it is a blast. Here’s hoping it's success paves the way for a sequel.
