Playstation Plus Just Made One Of The Greatest Games Ever Free

Play one of the best!

One of the greatest games ever made is available now on PlayStation Plus at no additional cost whatsoever.

Sony’s PlayStation Plus has tons of games to play at our disposal. Of course, depending on which of the three tiers you subscribe to will depend on how many games you'll have to choose from.

PlayStation Plus Essential is basically the same deal as before Sony revised its subscription service in 2022. Typically, you have three games each month with additional perks such as free DLC and discounts via the PS Store.

Whereas PlayStation Plus Extra includes everything included in the Essential tier, but with loads more PS5 and PS4 games to choose from.

Finally, PS Plus Premium has everything included in the previous two tiers, but with extra retro games, cloud streaming, free movies and more.

Last month, Sony announced the three latest additions to PlayStation Plus Essential, and it includes some bangers. One of those games is the critically acclaimed indie darling, Stardew Valley.

On the aggregate website Metacritic, Stardew Valley has scored 89, but it’s probably fair to say that many fans feel it deserves a higher score. It’s also been rated as “Overwhelmingly Positive” on the PC platform, Steam.

“You've inherited your grandfather's old farm plot in Stardew Valley. Armed with hand-me-down tools and a few coins, you set out to begin your new life,” reads the synopsis of the game. “Can you learn to live off the land and turn these overgrown fields into a thriving home?”

Depending on how you approach Stardew Valley, such as how many additional side-missions you complete or how big you want your farm to be, you could easily spend over 100 hours playing the game.

Stardew Valley is out now on just about every platform imaginable, including mobile devices. If you’ve not played this delightful game yet, we couldn't recommend it enough.
