A classic PlayStation 2 Disney game is all but confirmed to be landing on PlayStation Plus this month, and fans couldn’t be more excited to see this cute little platformer back on their systems.

Last month, Gematsu reported that the Disney-Pixar game WALL-E had been rated for both the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5 through the Taiwanese Ratings Board.

Since then, trophies for the title leaked online, and said trophies imply that we’ll be getting the best version of the game when it lands on PlayStation Plus.

If you think you played this game and hated it back in 2008, then you may want to double-check exactly which version of WALL-E you had before you make your mind up.

As far as I can tell, there are four different versions of WALL-E that were released, and they're all of varying degrees of quality.

There are two different handheld versions, one for the Nintendo DS and one for the PlayStation Portable. There was also an Xbox 360/Wii/PS3 version, which by the sounds of things might be the worst WALL-E variant.

However, the PlayStation 2 and PC version of the game (developed by Asobo Studio) is apparently leagues above the rest in terms of quality, and by the sounds of things that’s the version that’ll be coming to PlayStation Plus.

Over on the r/PlayStationPlus subreddit, fans are extremely happy to hear that this specific version of WALL-E is landing on the service.

"goodbye every other game, welcome back wall-e for ps2 my beloved," commented user Warm-Lobster7712.

"I remember growing up playing this back on PS2 & PS3," replied user LivAlexNation.

"it was one of those games I had so much fun on i also have many memories and can't wait to re-live those moments if it does get added."

Assumedly the game will be added to the PlayStation Plus Classics catalogue during the next PlayStation Plus update towards the end of the month, so keep an eye out for our article detailing all of the new additions when it drops.
