PlayStation Plus gamers are being warned to try and avoid a ‘game-breaking’ bug in one of the most popular games on the subscription service.

The bug occurs in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and will pop up around 30 hours into the game, halting your progress and possibly ruining your Star Wars adventure.

Be aware of the 'game-breaking' bug in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

The bug has been reported on Reddit, warning other PlayStation Plus users to be aware that the issue has been around for a while, with no clear indication on if it’ll get fixed.

According to KaylaR2828, they came up against the bug themselves, within The Singing Ruins area of the game.

The user says, “The bug has been in the game upwards of a year and for most there's no way to restart or roll back to an older save. Some have had luck with an earlier save in the cloud, while others have been able to bug their way through the door.”

The bug will prevent any progression past a certain door, and it’s caused by suspending the game, or even dying before the door is opened.

The user continues, “Anything that causes you to reload into the area - saving and quitting, falling off the cliff, etc. I didn't realize for the one person it was their power, for my husband he save and quit just before the door because he planned to pick it back up.”

After this, the player couldn’t continue through the door and into the next area.

Among the many replies are those thanking the original poster for the warning, saying, “Thanks for the heads-up!”

Thought there are others who are confirming this happened to them too, and they advise consistently uploading and downloading your cloud saves.

The main advice to prevent this comes from another player, who said, “This is why manual uploading and downloading cloud saves is so important. You turn auto-sync off so that your cloud save isn't compromised like your local file.”
