PlayStation Plus newest free game is one of the PS5's best-looking titles

Such a banger

PlayStation Plus’ October Essential titles have gone down a treat with fans, with one game in particular impressing players.

It’s no secret that PlayStation Plus is a very flaky subscription service when it comes to its monthly free games, with each month being hit or miss with its offering.

October is looking exceptional though, including the titles WWE 2k24, Doki Doki Literature Club, and more importantly, Dead Space (2023).

The remake of the beloved horror title was a smash-hit when it launched last year, leaving everyone wondering when they'll remake the second game.

It follows engineer Isaac Clark who’s trapped on a space station with horrifying lifeforms that mutate and imitate organic matter, like Alien but dare I say scarier.

The game will be available for all next month for all valid PlayStation Plus subscriptions, and it’s safe to say everyone is over the moon about it.

In a Reddit thread talking about the upcoming additions, one fan stated that “Dead Space is a massive W” for the service, and they’re absolutely right.

One subscriber continued: “Dead Space alone makes this the best month since January. Easily the game I’ve been most excited about since Plague Tale Requiem … this year has been so dry that one big title that I was excited for is more than enough for me.”

“F*** yeah, Dead Space is a f****** W. AND TLOU Part 1 coming to extra. October is off to a great start!” said another.

Don’t get us wrong though, the other titles coming to PS Plus are just as good, and if you haven’t played Doki Doki Literature Club now’s the perfect time to do so, just go in blind, as it’ll be the last game you expect.
