PlayStation Plus subscribers have come to a consensus on which game on the service is the best, but I’ll do you one better; I think the game they chose isn’t just the best one on PS Plus… I think it’s the best on the PlayStation 5, period.
There’s an absolute wealth of banger titles on PlayStation Plus. Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Demon's Souls, Blue Prince, STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor – I could keep going, but I think I’ve made my point.
Now, sure, PlayStation Plus definitely isn’t as good as Xbox Game Pass. I think we can all agree that Microsoft’s service is a hell of a lot better.

But I think there’s more than enough great titles available through the service that you can still justify the price of a subscription, regardless of how Sony keeps hiking up its price, for at least a few months a year.
That being said, if, theoretically, you only had a month of PlayStation Plus at your disposal, which title should you play?
Well, the folks over on r/PlayStationPlus have figured that out for you, and I am more than inclined to agree with their choice.
“Returnal, by a mile!!?!” commented user LCFCgamer.

You can take a look at Returnal in action below.
“My real first, current gen experience. Phenomenal!” replied user zeedrome.
“Insane how underrated that game is,” answered user ironicdan. “Started and finished it in the past two weeks and I have not so much as looked at any other game since.”

Look, if you’ve not played Returnal yet, just do yourself a favour and give it a shot.
It’s not for everyone, especially if roguelikes or third-person shooters aren’t your cup of tea, but if you find that it’s the type of game you vibe with… then I think you’ll come to the same conclusion I have: Returnal is the best PlayStation 5 console-exclusive title out there.
Alternatively, you could just buy it on Steam. And I highly recommend you do, if you’re not a PS5 owner. I really think this game is up there for me, and the urge to replay it every now and again still compels me to redownload it… even four years after it first released.
