PlayStation Plus fans, you’re soon getting a huge game that will eat up all your free time.

In case you missed it, PlayStation Plus has announced a new batch of games coming to the Extra and Premium tiers later this month.

The new additions include the likes of Marvel’s Spider-Man (and its 2020 remaster), Earth Defense Force 6, and Mortal Kombat 1. A pretty diverse selection of games for you to check out.

For the RPG fans however, a massive game that takes about 80 hours to complete everything will be added later this month, and it sounds like you won’t want to miss it.

As announced earlier this week, Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key is being added for PlayStation Plus Extra and PlayStation Plus Premium users on 19th August, 2025.

Both the PS4 and PS5 versions will be added alongside all of the other games featured in this announcement, which also includes the Day 1 launch game Sword of the Sea.

Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key is the 24th entry (yes, you read that right) in the Atelier franchise, and the third of the Atelier Ryza games which form the “Secret Trilogy”.

I’m not sure how much you know about the Atelier series, but the games are usually pretty massive. According to How Long To Beat, a website that collects user data to estimate average completion times for different video games, Atelier Ryza 3 has a “Completionist” time of 80 hours.

That’s only if you strive to see everything the game has to offer, though. On the other hand, simply playing the main story seems a lot more feasible, with an average completion time of only 33 hours. As for the main story and some side content, that’ll set you back by about 62 hours.

So you’ll be putting in somewhere between 30 and 80 hours depending on how much of the optional content you engage with.

It’s worth noting that Atelier Ryza 3 publisher Koei Tecmo plans to delist the original version of the game in November, and will instead replace it with the new DX version available for purchase.

This version of the game has new DLC, content, and quality-of-life improvements. It’s unknown what this means for the PlayStation Plus version of the game, but you might want to be aware of this just in case you decide to start playing.
