Although it is exciting to see a new batch of games added to the PlayStation Plus library each month, it is often easy to forget that they come at the expense of some titles which have to leave.

Unfortunately, that is the case for one critically acclaimed game which took 2024 by storm.

Check out what you are entitled to with PlayStation Plus Premium below!

Released in May of last year, this indie Metroidvania game found itself nominated for The Game Award for Best Independent Game and even boasts a 91 score over on Metacritic.

As one of the top-ten highest rated games of 2024, it was no surprise that Sony added it to its PlayStation Plus service, making it free for PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium members.

However, it has been reported that the title will be removed from the service in April so you only have a few weeks left to grab it before it heads back to full price.

The game is, of course, Animal Well.

Created by solo developer Billy Basso and publisher Bigmode, Animal Well was a debut indie title and not one you want to miss out on.

“In Animal Well there is more than what you see,” the official game synopsis reads.

“Explore a dense interconnected labyrinth, and unravel its many secrets. Collect items to manipulate your environment in surprising and meaningful ways. Encounter creatures both beautiful and unsettling, and try to survive what lurks in the dark.”

Coming in at around 7-17 hours long, Animal Well is a short-but-sweet Metroidvania experience so you could easily complete it over the upcoming weekend.

As always, once you have grabbed the game from the PS Plus library, it is yours to keep forever.

Once it leaves PS Plus Extra and Premium libraries, Animal Well will head back to its original price of $24.99 so it is definitely worth grabbing it over the next few weeks.
