We're not even halfway through March yet, but PlayStation has confirmed the first free download for April 2024. It's just... not something everyone is going to particularly care about.

March has seen some real wins for PlayStation Plus subscribers so far. Sifu, Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, Hello Neighbor 2, and, F1 2023 are the free games for those on the Essential tier. Meanwhile, PlayStation just announced 13 more games for Extra and Premium subscribers.

Take a look at our 10/10 review of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth below!

As part of yesterday's announcement, PlayStation announced a few extra free downloads for Premium subscribers coming in April. While it probably won't be huge news for some of you, I suspect there are definitely those that will find this to be an exciting addition to the PlayStation Plus oeuvre.

Over on the PlayStation blog, it was confirmed that as of 1 April My Hero Academia Season 1 will be available on Sony Pictures Core to PlayStation Plus Premium/Deluxe members. Like I said, maybe not the biggest PlayStation Plus freebie we've ever seen, but a definite bonus for any anime fans out there. And I know you're out there, I've seen the profile pics.

PlayStation continued: "Additionally, we are pleased to share that select series from Crunchyroll will be available to PlayStation Plus Premium/Deluxe via Sony Pictures Core in the following additional regions starting 13 March: Mexico, Spain, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and France."

And if you missed it yesterday, the full list of games for PS Plus Extra is as follows:

  • NBA 2K24
  • Marvel's Midnight Suns
  • Resident Evil 3
  • Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot
  • Super Neptunia RPG
  • Blood Bowl 3
  • Mystic Pillars: Remastered
  • LEGO DC Supervillains

And PS Plus Premium:

  • Jak and Daxter The Lost Frontier
  • Cool Boarders
  • Gods Eater Burst
  • Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy
  • JoJos Bizarre Adventure AllStar Battle R
