PlayStation is known to give away some great freebies every once in a while and this one is no different. It’s worth around $30, and all you need to do is download an app.

Partnering with Apple, PlayStation is giving away three months of Apple TV for nothing. That’s three months of brilliant TV and film for free.

If you're a PlayStation Plus subscriber you can download and play Remnant 2 this month

Is there a catch? Not really. You just need to be a new or “qualified returning” subscriber and you can get started watching some great entertainment.

To take advantage of this offer, simply download the Apple TV app on your PlayStation and follow the on-screen instructions.

You will need an Apple ID, which is also free to set up, and then you connect it to your console during the initial steps.

As soon as that’s done you can spend the evenings watching things like Severance, Sugar, Dark Matter, Presumed Innocent, Masters of the Air, and Monarch: Legacy of Monsters.

And that’s just the TV shows. There are plenty of fantastic films like Killers of the Flower Moon and Napoleon, plus many more.

Personally, I’d recommend Severance which is easily one of the best things on TV right now and will leave craving the second season which is due out next year.

It’s a mystery drama with plenty of tension and heart-stopping twists all built around a stellar cast who deliver in each and every scene.

Now, it’s worth remembering to cancel your trial at the end of the three months otherwise auto-billing will kick in and you’ll be charged. That is unless you’ve enjoyed the trial enough to stay on as a subscriber.

This offer is available until 22 September and it’s open to both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 users, so your hardware won’t restrict you. Go and sign up now.
