April is marching onwards into the inevitable May, showing us, once again, that we cannot stop the hands of time from wearing us down, and wearing us thin.
But hey, at least we have video games, right? And if you’re a PlayStation Plus gamer, there are freebies to grab before the month is out.
Playing some of PlayStation's biggest hits will net you some points this month
If you are indeed one of those gamers, then you should know about PlayStation Stars, the reward scheme Sony uses to give out points for completing campaigns and buying new games.

If you don’t know how this goes; you buy a game on PSN, and Sony gives you some points for it.
Or, you can complete certain campaigns, which you select via the PlayStation app, and then once these are complete, you guessed it, you get some points.
But what do points make? Prizes! Well, no, free store credit, for the most part.
5,000 points will snag you £5/$5 of credit, 10,000 will net you £10/$10 - nothing to sneeze at.

Well, some of the campaigns will be coming to an end this month, notably, the following…
PlayStation Plus Game Catalog, which hands out 50 points for playing any of the following games, Death Stranding Director's Cut, Days Gone, Like a Dragon Ishin, Lost Records Bloom and Rage, Bloodborne, or The Last of Us Part I.
Then there’s April Monthly Picks, which requires you to play some of this month’s select games, including, Midnight Murder Club, Eternal Strands, Wanderstop, Dave the Diver, Suikoden I and II HD Remaster, or Devil May Cry HD Collection.
The As You Wish campaign will add 250 points to your total, but you’ll have to buy one of these games to qualify: Monster Hunter Wilds, Palworld, Black Myth WuKong, or Dead Island 2.

Check out the app today and see which other campaigns are coming to an end, and don’t forget to activate them before you buy or play, otherwise they won’t count.
