A brand new digital collectible is available to nab via PlayStation Stars, perfect for those of you who remember the now-defunct PlayStation Underground magazine.

I did say you could grab a freebie, not that you’d necessarily want to but hey, I’m sure there are avid PlayStation Stars collectors out there.

This latest campaign is titled ‘PlayStation Underground | Spring 2024’, with the ‘The Vault | Issue 3’ digital collectible being up for grabs.

If you’d like to add this one to your virtual trophy shelf, it’s very simple.

“With free game demos and PS Plus Premium Game Trials, you can relive the days of exciting demo discs right from your console,” the description reads. “Try any of the games below for your PlayStation Underground Digital Collectible.”

One of the included titles is Alan Wake 2. Take a look at the game in action below.

PlayStation Plus Premium users have the option of sampling Alan Wake 2, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Sonic Superstars, and NBA 2K24.

If you’re not a PS Plus subscriber, you can check out the Granblue Fantasy: Relink and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown demos on the PlayStation Store which are available to all.

Don’t forget that you need to head on over to PlayStation Stars first to press ‘Start’ on the campaign to activate it. Otherwise, your demo sampling will be pointless - other than you potentially having a nice time.

It’s worth seeing what other campaigns are available right now. It’s very easy to accumulate points without even trying.

In fact, I’ve done just that, trading in 1250 points for £5 of credit - and I was wholly unaware that those points were sitting there.

Gaming is an expensive hobby, that’s no secret, so it’s well worth grabbing any savings or bonus freebies where and when you can.
