One for the MMORPG fans

Breaking into the MMORPG market is no easy feat.

With titles such as World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy XIV still dominating the genre, any new release is going to have some tough competition.

However, one new release is reportedly making a name for itself with some fans claiming it is the best MMORPG on the PlayStation 5.

The title in question is Throne and Liberty which saw its full release earlier this week.

Developed and published by Korean developers NCSoft with help from Amazon Games, this brand-new free-to-play MMORPG may have what it takes to stand amongst the greats.

Set in a seamless, dynamic world and featuring large-scale PvP and PvE gameplay, the guild-focused MMORPG has made its way to the Western market and is fully playable right now.

“Throne and Liberty is the best MMO on PS5”, one user claimed over on r/throneandliberty.

“The PS5 has long lacked a diverse selection of MMOs, with most console MMO games being a decade old and overplayed. Throne and Liberty is a refreshing change.”

It seemed as though a large majority of contributors agreed.

“Personally, don't tell anyone I said this, but since it's not really P2W anymore, with everything it's got going for it in terms of potential, and the fact that it runs extremely well/better than any other MMO I’ve played, I'd say it might end up being the best MMO on PC as well!”

Another added: “Honestly, if games like New World or Throne and Liberty were more common on PS4 when I was on console, I might never have felt such a need to branch into PC.”

Throne and Liberty is free-to-play right now on PlayStation 5 as well as the Xbox Series X/S and PC.
