After a year full of banger release after banger release, we have slowed down quite a bit now we are halfway through May.
This could mean we could finally spend time catching up with all of 2025’s incredible game releases or, it could mean that we can dive straight into another game.

Well, free for PlayStation Plus Extra members who, throughout May, can access over 300 hours worth of gameplay courtesy of Sony’s latest library additions.
So if you are a PS Plus subscriber and want to add even more titles to your library, this list is guaranteed to have something to suit you.

First up is SAND LAND, an action RPG based on a Japanese manga series by Akira Toriyama.
Released back in 2024, SAND LAND will see you take on the role of Beelzebub, a Fiend Price who must guide his friends though a legendary world in order to find the mysterious realm known as the Forest Land.
SAND LAND offers 50+ hours of high-octane RPG action.
Next is turn-based strategy game Humankind and it will task players with rewriting history and reshaping civilization by exploring 60 different cultures from the Ancient Era to the Modern Age.

Lead your empire to victory, build thriving cities and outsmart your enemies in battle as you fight to leave your mark.
Those wanting to dive into a classic first-person shooter can grab Battlefield V for free this month.
In the 11th main instalment in the Battlefield franchise, players must enter mankind’s greatest conflict complete with a complete arsenal of weapons, vehicles and gadgets.
Play in story mode or test your skills in high-octane PvP combat.

There is also Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted, RPG set in a cyberpunk Japan with Soul Hackers 2, Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life for the cosy, farming-simulator lovers, and Gloomhaven, a tactical RPG based on the highest-rated board game of all time.
