Sony PlayStation is giving away a freebie with its PS Stars app with no strings attached. Happy days!

Sony launched its PlayStation Stars rewards scheme in 2022 and by all accounts, it’s been a hit with gamers. By completing easy campaigns, you will be rewarded with free digital collectables or points.

Check out the PlayStation Stars trailer below!

All you have to do to take part in PS Stars is have a PlayStation account (obviously), sign up for the reward scheme, and download the PlayStation mobile app, and then you’re good to go.

The campaigns can involve playing selected games, often associated with the latest PS Plus inclusions, earning a specific in-game trophy or purchasing certain games from the PlayStation Store.

Depending on the campaign, you can earn a digital collectable to proudly display on your PlayStation mobile profile or points that can not only be redeemed against other collectables but also free games and credit to spend on the PS Store.

As is the end-of-year tradition, the ‘PlayStation Wrap-Up 2024’ campaign has arrived where stats are gathered from our PlayStation account and it lets us know what games we’ve been playing most of all, how many trophies we’ve earned and how many hours we’ve spent gaming.

Depending on your perspective, the realisation of how many hours you’ve spent gaming throughout the year can be a shocking revelation or time well spent. For me, I lean more towards the latter.

In celebration of this year's ‘PlayStation Wrap-Up’, as brought to our attention by Reddit user Decademagenta10, you can earn an easy digital collectable with PS Stars just by taking part and letting your friends know which games you’ve been playing most of all.

For your troubles, you’ll be rewarded with a ‘Heroic’ level collectible featuring the iconic PlayStation controller symbols, Cross, Circle, Triangle and Square.

I can’t wait to see what my gaming habits are next year with the ‘PlayStation Wrap-Up 2025’.
