PlayStation's latest free download is a game you'll struggle to put down

Try out one of 2022's best games

PlayStation Plus has been treating its subscribers well as of late.

In case you missed it, this month’s essential tier games are now available to download - and it’s a strong line-up.

You can nab Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions as a day one launch, alongside Little Nightmares II and MLB The Show 24.

It’s the perfect time to catch up on Little Nightmares II with the third instalment on the way in 2025.

I highly urge extra and premium subscribers to go back and revisit August’s drop of games too.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Wild Hearts, and Cult of the Lamb are just a few of the bangers that were added to the service’s vast catalogue.

As a nice added extra, yet another premium game trial has been made available on PlayStation Plus’ premium tier and it allows subscribers to sample one of 2022’s very best games.

Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is available as of today. Take a look at the game in action below.

I’m talking about Poncle’s Vampire Survivors, a fantastic roguelike shoot ‘em up.

I say that the game launched in 2022 and that is true, but only on PC, Xbox, and mobile.

The game’s Nintendo Switch edition launched in 2023, with the PlayStation version finally releasing just a few days ago on 29 August.

If you’re not familiar with the concept, Vampire Survivors essentially tasks players with fending off continuous waves of monsters.

They’re not actually vampires, despite the title, but they are summoned by an evil vampiric fellow.

At the time of its original launch, Vampire Survivors garnered a very respectable score of 86 on Metacritic.

It was nominated for Best Debut Indie Game at the The Game Awards but unfortunately, didn’t win.

So, if you’re yet to check it out, you can now dive into two-hours of the game on PlayStation Plus’s premium tier with progress carrying over should you pick up the full game.
