PlayStation has finally fixed that irksome PS Plus glitch, which for the longest time was preventing users from accessing the PlayStation 3 games they were paying for.
Now I don’t subscribe to PlayStation Plus Premium, even though it’d probably be worth it given how much I love classic/retro games.
However I know there are many PlayStation 5 owners out there who do have Premium, so I’ve been just as appalled as them to see PlayStation 3 games being completely unplayable for so many.
Good news though, the issue has reportedly been fixed and users are saying they can now access their PS3 titles without any trouble.

With that in mind, I’ve had a look through the current line-up and thought I’d recommend some bangers you should play as a way to celebrate.
7 PS3 Games You Should Check Out on PlayStation Plus
This is an obvious one given the Season 2 finale is dropping next week, but Fallout: New Vegas is one of my favourites. It's a tough game if you’re just getting started with the series, but trust me and stick with it, you won’t be disappointed.

This next one might be a bit controversial, as I know as this is widely considered to be one of, if not the weakest of the mainline Resident Evil games. That said, playing Resident Evil 6 with a friend makes the experience substantially more enjoyable.
Plus, with Resident Evil Requiem coming out soon you’ll probably want to catch up on the story so far.

I bought The Darkness II, a great first-person shooter on a whim for the Xbox 360 back in the day and adored it, so I’m glad to see it’s available through PlayStation Plus Premium.
Players combine guns with demonic entities to tear their way through enemy-infested locations, sticking to the shadows and eating hearts to gain strength; it's very metal.
Next up Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City. Sorry, two Resident Evil games on the same list? Wild. Seriously though, this is another somewhat weak Resident Evil game but it’s become a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine. Set during the events of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, this third-person shooter leans heavily into action.
I’m a FromSoftware fan, I had to include a FromSoftware game on this list. It's the law. Demon Souls kicked off the soulsborne series before Dark Soul perfected it and while it shows its age I’m very fond of it, though I’d understand if you’d rather play the remake instead.
Ratatouille: Last but not least, the Ratatouille movie tie-in game. Tie-in games like this one feel like a lost art-form nowadays, and some of them were weirdly bangers. Ratatouille is no exception. It's actually a great little platforming game that's heavy on nostalgia.
Check them out and let me know what you think! There's probably a bunch of other classic PS3 retro games available on PlayStation Plus that I've missed, so delve into the catalogue this weekend and enjoy!
