You only have one month left to claim this awesome DLC for one of the best video games in recent years.

Developed and published by indie studio Mintrocket, when Dave the Diver was released in 2023 for PC and Nintendo Switch, then for PlayStation and Xbox the following year, it became an instant cult classic with gamers across the world.

In our review of Dave the Diver, we said: “The game’s central loop of exploration and fishing in the day followed by an evening of restauranteering makes it perfectly suited to Nintendo’s handheld as a cosy pick-up-and-play game. A definite must-play, which is really saying something given how many must-plays we’ve already had this year.”

Earlier this year, as if Dave the Diver couldn't get any better, free DLC for PC and PlayStation was announced featuring everyone’s favourite Kaiju, Godzilla. Well, apart from Giant Condor, am I right?

“Godzilla sushi menu special,” said ridnirhossain2376 in the comments section of the PlayStation announcement trailer.

“If that sushi restaurant has a sea where Godzilla fights from time to time, I am going there as a tourist to enjoy the show,” Prefizful claimed.

Sadly, the free DLC was only ever planned to be available for a limited time and as brought to our attention by the Twitter account Wario64, its expiry date is fast approaching. The free DLC is getting delisted from the PlayStation Store and Steam on 23 November 2024.

So, at the time of writing, you have about a month to claim the DLC for free before it's eradicated like poor Tiamat in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.

If you’ve been tempted to play Dave the Diver or have simply not played this DLC yet, I’d advise you to take a few seconds out of your day to claim the content right now.

Dave the Diver is out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
