A PlayStation 6 leak might not be what we all expected but we’re all for it if this rumour is true.
It’s no secret that we’ll get a PlayStation 6, unless Sony randomly decides to wave the white flag and leave the console market for good. Which, thankfully, will never likely happen. But then again, people probably said the same about SEGA.
Nonetheless, hype for the unannounced console is already building momentum. However, if rumours are true, PlayStation fans might get more than they bargained for, and no, I’m not talking about Sony potentially raising its prices (again).

Rumours have been making the rounds that Sony could launch a new handheld console alongside the PlayStation 6, whenever that time might be.
This would be the tech giant’s first venture into the handheld market since it neglected the PS Vita in 2019 (which some could argue that Sony abandoned the PS Vita long before it was discontinued).

Sony does currently have a handheld system with the PlayStation Portal, but that’s a remote console that streams games from the PS5 over Wi-Fi, rather than using discs, cartridges or digital codes.
With the rumoured new PlayStation handheld in mind, it’s fair to say that fans are excited at that prospect.
“New PlayStation Portable is coming around the PS6 launch,” claimed Redditor IcePopsicleDragon, sourcing NeoGAF.
“I love my PS Vita and still use it, so I'm down for this. Hopefully, it ends up being a good device,” said Loud_Examination_138, replying to the post.

“It came from the Heisenberg poster, who has a legit track record. If he says something is happening, then it is,” claimed EntireCheek9910.
“Kids these days will never experience the highs and lows of the real PSP days,” recalled MrConor212.
“The time is finally right for the UMD renaissance!” jokes FewWatermelonlesson0.
It’s worth mentioning that all rumours should be taken with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise. We’ll keep you posted if Sony drops information on the PlayStation 6 or the new PlayStation handheld.
