It’s getting pretty tough to keep up with all the conflicting information both Sony and Microsoft keep telling us about their futures and their consoles. After being told the end is nigh for the Playstation 5, details about the PS5 Pro have emerged.

If this is the end, it’s looking like a climatic finale.

Cast your mind back to 15 February, when we were all getting upset over Sony confirming that the PS5 is in its “latter stage” of its life cycle; it was such grim news. Yet here we are, a week later, talking about the PS5 Pro that’s boasting some seriously impressive specs.

We’d seen the hints suggesting that a new console was coming later this year, one we’d need to get saving for if we have any hopes of affording it. However, we didn’t know the full extent of its capabilities.

According to a recent online tease from Moore's Law is Dead, a well known leaker in these parts, the PS5 Pro will deliver 120fps in glorious 4K. Considering how underwhelming the PS5 Slim felt, with its specs offering little to nothing new, the PS5 Pro could really spice things up. Finally.

If this information turns out to be true, it would make Sony’s newest console the most powerful on the market – Xbox would certainly be at a disadvantage, if you want to claim it’s not already. However, with Sony yet to confirm these specs, we have to take these details as speculation at best, lest we end up angry and disappointed.

Should you not be able to wait for the PS5 Pro, you could grab yourself a bargain and purchase the PS5 Slim for a massively reduced price. Of course, with such a deal, time isn’t on your side, so act with haste if you want to walk away with a new console for a fraction of the price.

We really hope the PS5 Pro is a 4K dream that sees the light of reality – just imagine how stunning all those new titles will look! But, as always, we remain cautious.
