Intended to be a secret as it can lead to consoles being modded or jailbroken, the PlayStation 5’s not-so-secret web browser is back in the limelight despite Sony doing everything it can to stop it.
It seems as though PlayStation 5 users just do not like being told “no” as a group of crafty individuals have found a way to access the console’s web browser.
Not intended for general use by console owners, the secret browser has been breached multiple times since the PlayStation 5 was first launched in 2020.
However, until now, Sony has been quick to crack down on all the ways that users have managed to access it.

Well, until now.
That is because some individuals over on Reddit have been sharing ways to access the browser with one way even including the use of Minecraft.
Whereas one way includes heading into the PlayStation 5’s settings, another can see you employ the help of video game menus such as Minecraft which is showcased in a video posted to r/playstation.
Both of these videos were posted just five days ago and, as far as we know, are still working to this day.

However, previous attempts at breaching the PS5 browser has led to permanent bans being handed out by Sony so we do not recommend trying these out for yourself.
Previous attempts at accessing the secret browser have included players messaging each other random links which could cause it to open.
However, if this is attempted now, players will receive a warning from Sony which threatens a permanent PSN ban.
As a result, it would not be surprising to see these two brand-new tricks also getting reported in the upcoming weeks.

If you are eager to access the secret PS5 web-browser (for whatever reason), it is a risk and once again, not one that we recommend but it just goes to show what gamers will do when faced with the seemingly impossible.
